Voip (voice over ip)

Voice over IP telephones take analog signaling and convert it to TCP/IP data packets for transmission over local and wide area networks.

PBX (private branch exchange)

PBX is an organizations internal telephone network. PBX communicates with external sources through the use of a gateway that routes calls between external and internal stations.

SIP (session initiated protocol)

SIP is a protocol for establishing connections between nodes over a data network such as local area network or the internet. SIP protocal can handle a myriad of communication options from voice to video

Hosted PBX

Hosted PBX works the same as PBX except that the equipment is located in a hosted data center and accessed over the internet rather than on the customer premise. This can be very beneficial for organizations that have multiple locations without the need to provide PBX equipment to each one.
